A stunning chateau B&B near Saint Tropez Provence

This stunning chateau B&B in Provence is classified as a Historic Monument. Its restoration from the ruins of a medieval fortress to the quality chateau we see today has been truly breathtaking.


The Chateau B&B is situated in the peaceful valley of Caramy in the Var department of Provence an hour west of Saint Tropez. It's a beautiful spot, set back from the madness of the Riviera with a lovely little peaceful lake nearby in which you can take a dip in the summer months. Kids will love jumping off the rocks into the cool clear water.

The beaches of the French Riviera is just a short drive away and the spectacular Verdon Gorge can be reached in under 1h. Spend a bit of time here and discover quaint villages, abbeys and churches, lakes and hills and all that the picturesque countryside of Provence has to offer.

The more active amongst you will no doubt head for one of the two 18 hole golf courses that are within 20kms of the chateau or maybe you'd prefer to indulge in a game of tennis on the tennis courts just 50m away.

The chateau owners are present but discreet, on hand to advise you on walks and cycle rides you can do in the area as well as the best places from which to buy the local rosé wines

They have thoughtfully provided a fully equipped Provencale kitchen for their guests (a nominal fee of 5€ pp will be requested) which you can use on weekdays. Prepare yourself a light meal or snack of Provencal olives, cheeses, the freshest salads all washed down with a local provencale rosé - marvellous
