Dog and family friendly chateau B&B near Paris and Beauvais, France

ID: 5
Classified a historic monument, this dog friendly and family friendly chateau B&B near Paris will capture your imagination.

The chateau is a listed building which dates back to the 16th century. It's set in 40 acres of tranquil parkland - don't be surprised if you see deer when you look out of your window in the morning. Peace and quiet are assured here.

Paris city centre is just a 45 minute train ride away. Stay at this chateau B&B and avoid paying city centre prices! Charles de Gaulle airport is also just 30 minutes away and Calais is an easy 2h30 up the autoroute.

Make a short break of it and visit Monet's gardens at Giverny and also Versailles which are both easily accessible in under an hour.

There's plenty of space for the children at the chateau. The anglo/French owners have provided tricycles and outdoor toys for their entertainment and you can even fish in the little lake here.

The chateau B&B may date back to Medieval times but it has modern facilities such as central heating and tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. The guest rooms are also well sound-insulated. In the evening, relax in the dedicated guests' television lounge.

Dogs are welcome at the chateau for a small additional fee. There's masses of space outside for them to run around and let off steam after being cooped up in the car on your journey. If your dog needs to visit the vet before returning to the UK, don't worry, there is one locally.

For your evening meal, there is a good restaurant 2.4 miles from the chateau.

The chateau grounds are gated so your laden car will be perfectly secure overnight. WiFi internet access is available in chambre Moustiers and chambre Montmorency

What a wonderful location, huge bedrooms, very warm welcome by Mr & Mrs Marro, who organised train times and instructions for us to visit Paris for the day. We all enjoyed a lovely walk in the grounds, she even supplied wellingtons. The breakfast was excellent. My wife and mothers first choice. all nice and clean too. - The Woottens, UK

The chateau north of Paris was a grand and impressive building with equally grand surroundings (grazing deer included in our room's view at no extra charge!) Hosts were very helpful and breakfast was lovely - Thanks - The Lambeths

The chateau near Beauvais north of Paris is a gem! It was like stepping back in time. At first glance it looks a little run down but still a fantastic building. Madame and Monsieur could not have been more welcoming, taking the time to show us around. Inside, the chateau did not disappoint. Sympathetically restored, not renovated, and thank goodness! Nothing looked out of place. We had three children with us, aged 0, 4 and 8 years. The room was fantastic. From the high ceilings, to the fabric covered walls, to the shutters on the windows. I even managed to see a roebuck early hours of the morning. My only regret about this stay is that it wasn't more than one night! A table was reserved for us at the local restaurant -another recommendation! The beds were comfy and a full set of towels was provided for each person. A lot of thought had gone into furnishing the room. We even had cotton wool and cotton buds provided. Breakfast was fantastic. Everything fresh and/or homemade - even the teabags. The experience was simply excellent. The chateau is beautiful and very helpful and friendly hosts. I cannot recommend this enough. - The Gordon-Parrys

Just thought I would let you know that we were delighted with our stay at the chateau near Beauvais and Paris. If you like old buildings with character and a history this is the place. Madame made us feel so welcome and we spent ages just wandering in the grounds watching the wildlife. Could not fault anything. - The Midwinters
