Dog friendly & family friendly B&B near Calais & Boulogne with swimming pool

ID: 461
As a stopover en route to the South of France or as a base for a short break to explore the Somme area, this bed and breakfast near Calais and Boulogne is hard to beat with the biggest attraction being the 8m x 4m heated (April-October) swimming pool which is rare in the NE of France!

Only just over an hour from Calais and the tunnel and the same distance from Rouen, the B&B is located in beautiful rolling countryside on the edge of the bustling market village of Saint Riquier near Abbeville and 25 minutes from the Baie de la Somme on the Opal Coast.

There is a petrol station and supermarket just round the corner and some lovely restaurants including a very handy pizza takeaway in the village which is within walking distance.

This B&B is fantastic value for money, both dog friendly (plenty of space for your dog to run around) and family friendly. All kinds of games and toys are provided for your children by your English speaking hosts who are the most incredibly helpful and welcoming people. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

The guest rooms are all beautifully decorated and spotless, modern and fun, with everything provided to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is a real treat naturally continental style with fresh croissants and bread from the local bakery, delicious jams, local honey, cereals, fruit juices and great coffee.

The parking here is secure parking and there is a garage for motorbikes and road bikes. The B&B has free WiFi.

We stayed at this bed and breakfast accommodation in the Pas de Calais for one night on our way to Boulogne. Everything was perfect from the welcome, the gorgeous room and delicious breakfast. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone and hope to stay there again on a visit to France - The Formans

We just wanted to let you know that the bed and breakfast accommodation at Saint Riquier near Abbeville in the Pas de Calais was fantastic! Such attention to detail, room spotless and breakfast wonderful. Would highly recommend this to anyone. Madame couldn't have been more helpful and spoke very good English. - the Farnell family

We were very impressed with the presentation and planning of the B&B near Calais. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming and spoke good English. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was fantastic The breakfast was excellent. We did not use the pool but it was a real plus to know it was available - the Brettholts

We have stayed at this B&B several times now and have always found it comfortable, spotlessly clean, well equipped and convenient. Madame and her husband are very friendly and welcoming, speak good English and are happy to serve breakfast at whatever time you request. It's in a lovely small town with bars and restaurants and is ideal for a stopover, which is what we have used it for, but there are plenty of activities on offer in the surrounding area. The accommodation is dog friendly. There is a large garden and beautiful swimming pool although we have not used it so far. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation and will certainly stay again. - Mr & Mrs Aspin

This B&B near Calais was absolutely lovely! It was beautifully clean, really well equipped and luxurious and the hosts were fantastic! We are so, so impressed with this B&B and hope to go again. We are also very impressed with Stopover Connections - the B&B's on your books and your service. You helped make our holiday in France fantastic. Thank you so much - the Browns

Our stay with Beatrice was excellent. Although we arrived much later than we'd hoped she met us outside and showed us our rooms quickly so that we could all get to sleep. The 2 rooms were clean and the beds comfortable - we had the room for 4 and a double. Both were en suite and there was plenty of hot water in the showers. We slept well - the children had to be woken in the morning despite 4 sleeping in one room! - and the breakfast was just right: fresh croissants with delicious jams, coffee & hot chocolate. A really excellent stopover - the Jamieson family
