This excellent quality chateau bed and breakfast accommodation is ideal for a romantic break in France, located 20km SE of Alencon, 25km NE of Le Mans. Two hours drive from Paris in the Northern Loire Valley, this is a beautiful small family-owned chateau located in its own parkland which is home to sheep, swans, horses and peacocks. The decor is fresh and bright - not at all stuffy - with original antique furniture still prominent. For your romantic short break, you will have the use of the fine drawing room, a library with a piano, billiards and also a covered swimming pool and spa.
As far as activities go, you can fish in the pond. Bikes/cycles and table tennis are available for your enjoyment. You can go horseriding in the Forêt de Perseigne. There are over 400kms of walking and cycling trails in the area and there is also an excellent 18 hole golf course , the Golf de Belleme 15kms from the chateau.

Just a quick email to say how pleased we were to have found the chateau near Alencon in Normandy. When you walk through the door it's like going back in time, having said that the rooms were very compfortable, well equipped and the hospitality, food and accommodation mean this is worthy of a repeat visits for us. Dinner was the highlight, and the one French couple were totally outnumbered with four English couples, and one American couple. We all sat around the table and had a set meal that could not be faulted with non stop supply of wine. Certainly a good find. Thankyou - the Coles, 2006
