This fine family-owned chateau, ideal for a romantic break near Calais in France, offers bed and breakfast accommodation in the village of Behen which is under an hour's drive from Calais, 50 minutes from Dieppe, 10 km from Abbeville,3km from the motorway and close to the Picardy coast on the historic Bay of the Somme. Here, you can relax in the peaceful surroundings of a unique country estate, with horse riding and bike/cycle rental available on site and a nearby golf course. Children will enjoy the farm animals which include horses, donkeys, sheep, small goats and rabbits.
The chateau was built during the 18th and 19th centuries and boasts beautiful wood-panelled salons and reception rooms. It has recently undergone extensive renovations in keeping with its original style and all rooms include TV and phone, plus spacious well-lit modern bathroom facilities, with marble and twin vanities.
Horse riding and bike riding are available at the chateau. Plenty of parking available in the chateau grounds. Accompanying animals are not accepted at the chateau. |

I had to write to you to let you know that the Chateau near Abbeville we stayed at last weekend was excellent. I feel that the weekend was made enjoyable mainly because of Norbert's wonderful hospitality. It really was like staying with a friend, he
couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and give us information about what to do with our days. The b&b accommodation was well maintained and clean and the food was delightful - cooked by Norbert!!! We would happiliy go back or recommend anyone else to stay there - if they

Just returned from the chateau accommodation near Abbeville: Children enjoyed it more than
EuroDisney, wife wants to move in, I just loved it - we will definitely be
going back and recommending it to our family and friends. Norbert is an
excellent host and cook: we used the horse riding facilities and all enjoyed
the wonderful food: The 2 other guests there at the same time were also
great company - and just organising a family get together there for 17 of
