This family-owned bed and breakfast chateau accommodation is located 8 miles South of Valenciennes, 30 miles South of Lille and within easy reach of the A2 and A23 autoroutes. It is a fine 18th century small chateau set in its own parkland and offering an excellent standard of accommodation with antique furniture and well maintained decor.
The guest rooms are all comfortably furnished, some with pretty floral fabrics and decor and all with private bathroom facilities. Additional beds can be added as required. Guests also have use of a large sitting/reading area where they can relax during the day.
Smoking is not permitted in the house. Note that only Monsieur speaks some English. madame does not speak English at all The Chateau has WiFi internet access.

This is a large beautifully decorated and furnished suite of two adjoining rooms comprising of a king-size 160x200cm double bed and a second smaller 120-190cm double bed suitable for two children. An additional single bed can be added to the main room if required. The suite has a large bathroom en suite with tub (shower attachment over). washbasin and WC

This a smaller suite of two adjoining bedrooms comprising of a large canopied double 160x200cm bed and a 90cm wide single bed. The rooms are beautifully decorated in sunny shades of yellow and blue, with fine solid furniture and pretty fabrics. The bedroom has an en suite shower and WC

La chambre rose
This is a very romantic, warm and comfortable double room, decorated in English rose style with coordinating rose fabrics and wall paper. The brass bedstead is 160cm wide and is draped with white muslin type fabric and the bathroom is in candy striped pink and white. The en suite bathroom has a bath tub, separate large jet blast shower and washbasin. The WC is also en suite but separate to the bathroom.
Please note that this room may suffer from traffic noise from the road to the rear of the house. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper!

This room is slightly smaller than the chambre rose, but with the same style 160cm wide draped bedstead, decorated in apricot patterned and striped wallpapers and fine fabrics. The room looks out onto the parkland and has en suite bathroom with tub and shower attachment and WC.

Thank you for your excellent service in providing us with a night's accommodation at the chateau near Valenciennes. It was our first experience of a Chateau, and it couldn't be faulted. The welcome from the owners was very friendly, the rooms spectacular and exceptionally well presented and clean. The Chateau grounds were lovely to walk around in the evening, and the breakfast and breakfast room were astounding. I could get to like chandeliers at breakfast! We certainly would recommend this accommodation to anyone, and have passed on your web address to my friends. Thank you again for organising such a wonderful start to our holiday. Just to let you know we had a wonderful stay at the chateau near Valenciennes, very beautiful and comfortable - everything one imagines it should be but frankly were not expecting as the price was so reasonable. Our hosts were charming and we will definitely recommend and stay again ourselves. Altogether a very easy experience - from booking through you to the stay itself.
