This is an English owned, beautifully restored, traditional Normandy farmhouse that has retained much of its old charm. It is set in three acres of gardens surrounded by peaceful countryside on the outskirts of the little village of Le Mesnil Garnier, 7 km from the medieval town of Villedieu-Les-Poêles, 25km from Granville with its lovely long sandy beaches and within easy driving distance of the Normandy landing beaches and the Bayeux Tapestry to the north and Mont St. Michel to the south.
The accommodation is centrally heated. There is a spacious and elegant dining room exclusively for guests, featuring a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings. There are three guest bedrooms situated over 2 floors, all finished to a high standard. Bed linen is pure cotton, with feather/down duvets and feather or foam pillows. There are tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. Smoking is not permitted at this property. Accompanying pets are also not accepted.

The bedroom is comfortable with two chairs, table, tea and coffee making facilities, wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A child's bed or cot can be added if required. The Chambre Rose en-suite features a shower cubicle with hydro massage jets, toilet and wash hand basin.

This suite of two bedrooms is an ideal arrangement for families or friends travelling together. There is a twin bedded room which looks out over the front garden and meadow. An un-folding bed and cot can be added if required. Adjacent to the twin room is a double room decorated in traditional French style and with a standard 140x190cm bed. Both rooms share a spacious, modern bathroom with bath tub and shower over.

This B & B near Granville in Normandy was fantastic. The road directions were easy to follow so we found it no problems. The hosts were welcoming, friendly & cooked the most tasty meals. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms were large, clean ,comfortable & the bed was good.Everything was new & tastefully decorated.The children loved it too - own room & bathroom & even my daughter who is a fussy eater loved the home cooked meals. It was quiet & we had lovely views out over the green pastures . We loved staying here & would definately return & recommend this B & B to our friends. - the Herders, 2008
