This is charming 300 year old hotel/bed and breakfast accommodation in Normandy in the village of Trelly in the Borage countryside just 1 hour from Cherbourg.
The British-owned accommodation nestles in its own gardens where afternoon teas are served on the lawn. The hotel boasts many original features and is full of charm and character with log fires in the winter. The dining room has an elegant beamed ceiling where you can sample the natural produce of Normandy including oysters, seafood, lamb, fresh pigeon and duckling all seasonally selected and prepared by the French Chef Yves Lo cz'hmeur of Radio bleu Normandy. Vegetarian menu available on request. Guests can relax after their meal in the sitting room with its log fire. Off road parking.
Please note that smoking is not permitted in the bedrooms. Smokers should confine themselves to the sitting room or preferably outside. Small dogs are welcome by prior arrangement |

The hotel/restaurant is now a member of both the Quality Hotels of Normandy group and The French Society of Gastronomy. Menus, which vary according to the season, start at only €13.50 for lunch. The evening menus range from €23.50 to €40.00.

You asked for comments on the accomodation above which I understand is new to you in 2005. I do not feel that anyone could complain about this in any way, as it is clean and spacious, well equipped and steeped in history, being built in 1710. The breakfast was more than adequate and they have an excellent restaurant with a French Chef, however due to our late arrival we did not sample the cuisine. Have no hesitation in staying there again. - The Cliftons, UK
This was a very pretty little hotel with a nice garden with swings etc . The
owners were very friendly and they made a lovely meal for the children at
6.30 then we had a proper 5 course dinner at 8.30 which was very good. The
room which had 2 beds and a cot in as well as a large double, was nicely
furnished and plenty big enough for us all with a fully equipped en- suite bathroom.
We throroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definietly consider a return trip - the Hamptons 2006 |
