This is charming bed and breakfast accommodation in a period house dating back to the 17th century, located in the village of Celon a stone's throw from junction 19 of the A20 autoroute south of Argenton-sur-Creuse and Chateauroux, 45 minutes north of Limoges, in the southern Loire Valley. The anglo-american owned accommodation is surrounded by 3.5 acres of peaceful gardens in which sun-worshippers will find plenty of spots in which to relax, whilst there are also plenty of shady spots if you just fancy a snooze. Activities available on site include croquet, ping-pong, darts and a variety of board games. If you enjoy walking, your hosts can recommend several excursions in the area ranging from a quick jaunt around the village to hours wondering through the lovely countryside. Locally, you will also find kayaking, hiking, windsurfing, fishing and several medieval villages.
Coffee and tea is complementary throughout your stay and house wine is included with the evening meal. In addition, there is a fully stocked bar and a variety of wines for purchase. Lunch can be offered if you choose to relax in the garden for the day or a picnic lunch for the road.
Pets are welcome - your hosts have a dog themselves who would welcome good-mannered company, although ONLY ONE DOG PER ROOM PERMITTED! The house is a non-smoking zone. Parking available on site.
All rooms have an alarm clock radio, hair dryer and bottled water.
