This two-storey cottage offers excellent value self-catering accommodation just outside the village of Fontaines (a 15 minute stroll away) 8 miles from Chalon-sur-Saone and the A6 autoroute in southern Burgundy. The town of Chagny is a few miles to the North along the Route des Grands Crus and the town of Beaune is just 30 minutes away, also to the north.

Built in the 19th Century, the cottage is constructed in stone that was hidden from view behind a faded yellow mortar rendering. In 2004 it was gutted and entirely reconstructed internally and now offers comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. The accommodation has as its own entry gate with sunny courtyard and planted flowers. At the back of the house is a further courtyard which has an outside table and chairs, and two sun loungers. This grassed area has a pond, several trees, flowered areas and a newly planted orchard. There is ample off-street parking and space is reserved for your car(s).

Close by or within an hour's car ride are wine tasting, ballooning, petanque, karting, fishing, and golf. Chalon has an Olympic size swimming pool, along with two other pools on the same site. There are also zoos and amusement parks to visit. The train from the station at Fontaines will take you to Chalon sur Saône, Chagny, Dijon and Macon.
