Quality bed and breakfast guest house accommodation in the Burgundy Valley in the centre of Nuits-Saint-Georges, 10 miles S of Dijon. This is an excellent address either for a stopover as you head South, or for a base for a longer stay to explore the vineyards of the region. It is located on the famed Burgundy 'Route des Vins'. The village has an approximately hourly rail connection with Dijon - the journey takes just 10 minutes. The rail station is just 15 mins on fooot from the accommodation.
The house contains period furniture and a certain olde worlde charm and all of the guest rooms contain beautiful antique furniture, oriental rugs and modern bedding.
The accommodation has adequate secure parking for €5.00 per night Accompanying dogs are welcome for a fee of €5.00 per night. The accommodation now has WiFi internet access.

This is the most impressive room at this accommodation with its 16th and 17th century tapestries. The large cane bed faces two large windows which opens onto the flower-filled courtyard. Parquet flooring with antique oriental rugs, add a touch of luxury. The bedroom has a large bathroom with bath tub, shower cubicle and wc. These private facilities are accross the corridor that is only 0.70cm wide and bathrobes are provided. Tea set and ironing board available in the room.

This room overlooks the peaceful flowered courtyard through two large double windows and is a haven of tranquillity. It has a double bed (150cm/190,with a footboard) and a sofa that can be turned into a comfortable bed. In front of the substancial fireplace the parquet is covered with a large oriental rug. The private bathroom facilities, although small, offer a large and comfortable shower cubicle and a precious marble basin and WC plus a hair dryer. The facilities are across the corridor so bathrobes are provided.

This charming room with a Murano glass mirror has its own en suite facilities – a genuine bath from the'20s, a hydromassage shower cubicle and WC and a hair dryer. The very large double bed (180cm/190cm with no foot board) can be converted into two single beds. The turreted, 19th century bow window overlooks the courtyard festooned with flowers. The floor is covered with a light coloured fitted carpet and oriental rugs. Tea set and ironing board available in the room.

The main room overlooks the winter garden and its aviary and has a luxurious canopied double bed (160cm/200, no foot board). The second room has twin beds (90x190cm) and is a haven of tranquillity ; it has two large windows which allow morning sushine to fill the room. Oriental rugs add cosiness to the parquet flooring. Just some quick feedback re our stay with Madame Loisy in Nuits St Georges last month. Pleasant if somewhat quirky accommodation in an excellent location for easy access to the motorway and for exploring the village on foot. But what makes it special is the hostess - we had intended to leave at 9 so that we could get to Meribel in time for lunch but were still at breakfast 90 minutes later, captivated by Madame Loisy's charm and knowledge of wine, local history, French history, politics and a variety of other topics, all delivered in faultless English.
