This is english-speaking (British-owned) bed and breakfast accommodation in Brittany in a 17th Century country house on the river Lair which borders Brittany and Normandy, 62km from Dinard airport and also St Malo, 58km from Rennes airport in Brittany. The tranquil setting in over 3 acres allows your stay to be peaceful and relaxing. A 9m x 6m swimming pool is now available. Each of the guestrooms have been individually designed and decorated to retain a French country feel and are presented to the highest standard of comfort and decoration. All have uninterrupted views across a small valley to the 14th century chapel of Notre Dame.
This address is ideally placed to explore not only the beautiful beaches of Normandy and Brittany but to visit the wonderful town of Fougeres with its medieval Chateau and vast array of shops boutiques and brocantes. The accommodation is within easy reach of St Malo port, Mont St Michel and Dinard airport with daily Ryan air flights..

The garden room
This family room has a double bed and two singles, en-suite bathroom with power
shower. If required an additional fold- away bed and cot can be placed in the room. The French windows lead on to a private garden terrace with table and chairs where you can sit outside and gaze at the stars over a bottle of wine you are still within earshot of the children. Children's meals are offered at an earlier time, permitting the parents to put the "kids" to bed and have a quiet meal in the dining room whilst the little ones sleep just next door. There is space for a 4th child in a temporary bed if required.

General information:
For the kids, just 5 minutes away is the Parc L'Ange Michel which is the second most visited summer attraction in South Manche after the Mont St.Michel itself! It boasts more than thirty attractions, including Aqua splash, Multiple Slide, toboggan, whirling boats, children's motorbikes, cars and quads, mystery train, mini-golf, roundabouts and a range of facilities for younger children.
There are tennis courts 5km away, indoor heated swimming pool with water slide etc at St Hilaire, 10km away plus the beaches which are a 25 minute drive away.

Just a line to let you know our thoughts on the bed and breakfast accommodation in Brittany. Although it is a bit tricky to find it is well worth the effort, for when you get there it is in the most beautiful spot imaginable, and the house and rooms are stunning. We received a wonderful welcome from the Millingtons at the b&b accommodation in Brittany. The accommodation was excellent, the food wholesome, plentiful and very tasty but the winning touch for us after a long drive was the hospitality from Sharon, John and their children. A real gem of a place, we hope to return. - The Normans
We used this b&b as a 'stopover' en route south from Caen. Property ideally suited on the Brittany/Normandy border approx 10 mins from A84/E3. We found it easily. (helped I think by John's recently erected signs!). Secluded spot, very quiet with abundant ground for our two young children to run around (thanks to Saffy, Tom & Nick for sharing your garden, house and toys with our children!). Family rooms hard to find to this standard - very well done! Sharon and John are very accommodating and the rooms are link detached from the living area - we were very well looked after without feeling cramped or that we had to creep around. We enjoyed a very welcome evening meal for all the family that exceeded our expectations - shame we couldn't do it justice. Highly recommended - we will be back possibly staying longer to see more of the area. - the Larders
Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the bed and breakfast accommodation north of Rennes in Brittany. John and Sharon made us very welcome and we enjoyed a superb meal cooked by Sharon. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and our children really enjoyed the freedom of our surroundings. We've used Stopover Connections several times now and have stayed with some very hospitable families but I just wanted to say that our latest stopover, at the bed and breakfast accommodation in Brittany with John and Sharon was really great. The property was fantastic (the garden was particularly lovely and really useful for tiring out our baby boy before bedtime), the food delicious, and John and Sharon were so welcoming. I would particularly recommend this stopover to anyone travelling with babies and/or children as the hosts were really accommodating (warming baby food for us, offering us extra milk etc). We are hoping to find an excuse to stay there again in the future - the Claytons
